Hi forum.

I have noticed that when I try to type even numbers in the height and width of a shape, there's decimal numbers appearing. Why is this happening? Also Im trying to type for example 60 height 24 width, but the width is 24.4. I need sqaure numbers without decimals. Can someone please explain this?

Thank you.

Turn off "Scale strokes and effects". And also maybe turn off "Use Preview bounds" in the preferences.

In addition to Monika's suggestion, also turn off the Constrain Width and Height Proportions icon. Otherwise numerically changing the height value will also change the width value too.
