"Insufficient memory was available to complete the operation" message when trying to place a JPG image.
System:
Windows 11 Pro 64bit
64GB RAM
650GB free space on scratch disk
Illustrator 28.0 reinstalled
Video card: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080

Placed file:
117MB CMYK JPG

It's likely that a 50,000 x 30,000 pixel image is too large for Illustrator to process.

I assumed so, but...
Is that a fact? if so, do you know what are the lemitations?
BTW, Tiff and Psd files with same pixel dimenssions do works... and these files are huge (weight wise)

I don't know it is a fact, only from empirical evidence.

I don't know why PSD/TIFF files of similar dimensions would work instead.
