Insufficient memory was avalable to complete the operation on CS5 Illustrator

this message comes up whenever i try to open one specific file.

any suggestions as to how to fix it?

my Graphic card is Quadro K620 if it is connected in any way.

What happens if you create a new document and File>Place the (PDF contents, if any, of the) file?

I believe there may be file corruption, or something else hindering things.

I should have mentioned that the file opens in other computers at work,

meaning this is only a problem with mine.

What happens if you try with nothing else open (other applications, internet connexion, whatever)?

How large is that file?

How much RAM is installed in your computer?

How many other applications are open?

Thanks Monika, the file did open when everyting else is closed.

The file size is 7590KB.

Its 41 pages with logos, graphics with few effects- 3D and shadows and linked pictures.

- I think The problem is because of the effects (3D effect).

Especially if it becomes (more of) a nuissance, you may try to compare the applications running, and the specifications/performances.

If everything is identical, and they (still) behave differently, it is truly strange.

Facing same problem in exporting menu. I am making JPEG of 2000px * 2000px file and having same problem.

Illustrator CS5 is a 32 bit application. So insufficient memory could well be the cause.
