Remove the old menu system where you have to actually know the exact name in thousand menus and let me type the exact thing in like it is already been for years in After Effects and Premiere Pro.
Here is the link for the uservoice page if anyone else feels this should be done: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/489...

Hi Anubhav,
my post here was mostly supposed to be a feature request as I think the version that is currently being used by Premiere Pro and After Effects is a much easier and better UI to easily assign new keyboard shortcuts compared to the one currently in Illustrator. As well as being able to assign features that are not directly part of a menu or a tool. I don't have a direct problem now that I need help with but I often have the problem that I want to assign a shortcut to my keyboard such as toggle visibility of a layer and I can't do that in Illustrator but I can do it in After Effects. I already posted my feature request into the uservote forum as well.

@michak19395341 I use Adobe InDesign and when I place an image in Adobe Illustrator it's a totally different keyboard shortcut. Instead, I just create my own keyboard shortcuts (I do over-write some prexisting shortcuts which I don't use). You could do this for yourself while Adobe gets to the suggestion in the time being.
The following is from MAC OS:
