I have a logo, i simply want to invert the colors, make the background blue and the text writing white. i tried to use the fill bucket tool, but i get this error

The selection contains objects that cannot be converted. Live Paint groups can only contain paths and compound paths. Clipping paths are not allowed.

For more information on how to convert text, images, and other types of artwork into a form allowed inside Live Paint groups please see Help

Hello @r37916767avy7,

Thanks for reaching out. The logo in the file shared seems to be rasterized. To make the changes, you must either use the original vector file or convert it to a vector format using Image Trace (https://adobe.ly/3xgtmUn).

Feel free to reach out if you have more questions or need assistance. We'd be happy to help.

Thanks,
Anubhav

You probably double clicked the image and are in isolation mode. Hit Escape or use the arrow at the top of your window when this happens.

Re open the file and try tracing again.

Use the Advanced option to ignore color.

If you traced it with the ignore color option, expand the trace, ungroup the result, just select it to apply a color.

No need to use Live Paint (or the Live Paint fill bucket).

Window > Image Trace.

Here is a playlist about it. You want to trace this in black and white, ignore the white, then expand the result and color it.

In order to get a blue background, put a blue rectangle behind it.
