Inverted lettering when printing

In a new document, when I create lettering it appears normal during creation.  Upon printing, the lettering is upside down and reversed.  I have closed Illustrator, restarted printer, deleted original document, created new document, recreated lettering. Same result.

Hello @alisonl43623506,

 

I apologize for the inconvenience. When you have a chance, could you provide the version of Illustrator you are currently using along with your operating system details? It would also be helpful to know if this issue occurs with all printers or just a specific one, and whether it affects every document or just a certain file. If you export the artwork as a PDF and print it using Acrobat, please verify if the text still appears inverted.

Additionally, please check your printer driver to make sure you have the latest version from the manufacturer, and take a moment to review the Print dialog and your printer settings to ensure that Rotate 180 or Flip is not accidentally enabled.
