Is anyone having any REAL working results with text to vector in illustrator?

I'm finding the results useless. Sometimes it does not match the prompt or match selection. But all the time—it's the quality of the vector rendering. Very sloppy and too much effort to clean up to make it usable. I'm not finding it worth adding to my workflow. Any suggestions? It is just still too new? I know these things take time.

Additionally, I find providing feedback and deleting all the unusable results cumbersome. If I hit delete consider my feedback as "poor result — straight disagree". And can I select multiple results to delete?

In my humble opinion, the AI-oriented Text to Vector feature is really only good for brain-storming purposes. The way it produces results reminds me of a slot machine. It just works slower (and doesn't take a bunch of your money). You get 3 random examples and then hit the button to see another 3 examples. So on and so forth. The end results are not clean enough to pass for production quality. The images often have very odd uncanny valley qualities to them too. If I see a result that has some good ideas in it I might use that as a starting point to sketch out a more refined version.

I suppose you have used the precision slider.

But in the end, yes, it's not precise. It's autotraced after all. A.I. works inherently pixel-based, so it must be traced. For logos and symbols it's probably not usable at all other than in the ideation process.

Agree. But that is not the way it is being promoted. So, I was just wondering if it was user error.
