Dear all, i'm Photoshop user and new to illustrator. I can make a flyer/banner for medsos easily in Photoshop. I can download freepik.com vector (ai/eps) and open it in Illustrator copy it to photoshop using smart object.

But, i have difficulties editing photo (bitmap) in illustrator.

Sometimes i create a banner/flyer using vector in illustrater. Problem come when i add photo bitmap to that project. How to mask that photo? how to subject select, how to change level, brightnest contras, and many moore. I can not find that in Illustrator.

I think Illustrator one of the Adobe Family, so it should be flexible to edit photo/bitmap there too.

Thanks.

Open the photo in Photoshop, edit it there and then update the link in Illustrator.

Bear in mind Adobe give a family of software that works together. So designers are constantly working in Photoshop and Illustrator on the same design. You can place a PSD in many Adobe apps, no need to copy/paste (bad idea) or save another format to place.
