Is there a way to add a list of words to Illustrator's dictionary for spell-checking?

Hi everybody,

I wonder if anyone can help me with this. I have a huge list of brands that I would like to be spell-checked automatically by Illustrator. Is there a way I can bulk add them to the programme's dictionary? Adding them one by one will be a huge task.

Many thanks in advance!

I've been hunting to bulk add medical terms and I think things have changed around a bit since this answer was listed.

I found the mentioned txt file at

C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\LocalLow\Adobe\Linguistics\UserDictionaries\Adobe Custom Dictionary\all

copy+pasted the terms in and then reloaded adobe worked a treat. Added too many words though and it slowed it all down. I'll go back through and do a good cull and should be sweet

Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. In addition to the suggestion given by Ton, I'd request checking out this help article to know how to edit a dictionary in Adobe Illustrator. Hope it helps.

Regards,

You could try to add them here: /Users/YOURNAME/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Linguistics/UserDictionaries/Adobe Custom Dictionary/all/added.txt
