Issue: Publish/Print/Export

Dear all,

A problem was reported, and Adobe accessed my device more than four times to resolve it. Yet every day, they tell me to wait for their call between 10 and 12, but no one ever gets back to me. As shown in the video, the settings don't work, and there's no guidance provided on how to save the file in PDF format. If anyone has faced this issue, please let me know what the solution is.

For your information, I have been dealing with this issue for over four months. I tested the same file, along with another file, on a second device, and both worked perfectly without any issues or complicated workarounds to save as a PDF, contrary to what the support agent suggested. This confirms that the problem is not with the files or my method, but likely with the software setup or configuration on my primary device.
The entire issue is captured in a short video.

Hi @O231635400uo42,

Thanks for sharing the details and video.

I'd recommend following the suggestion shared by the expert and testing the issue in the Illustrator BETA version 29.8.0.10, where the team has resolved the issue. You can install the BETA from the Creative Cloud desktop app and try exporting your file there using the same method. This will help confirm the resolution.

Let me know how it goes after testing. Im here if you need help with the 'install or want to share your findings.

Looking forward to your update.

Now the problem is that when I export the file and try to add a prefix, it doesn't apply the prefix correctly and instead prompts me to replace the existing file. This defeats the purpose of using a prefix to create a new, uniquely named file, and suggests a bug or misconfiguration in the export settings.

I initially thought the problem was isolated, but now it has become widespread. What's strange is that the employee logs into my computer and refuses to acknowledge the issue. He insists that I save the file in a convoluted way. He doesn't realize that I'm an expert in Illustrator and have been working with the program for 15 years.

After reading the comments, it became clear that the solution to the main issue is to download the beta version of the program.

However, the issue with the remaining prefix name still persists.

Saving as a single file works again in the current 26.7 version.
