Issues with color palette being an ASE file - AI won't upload

Hi, I have created a couple of colour palettes/swatches on the Adobe color site and when I download to my computer it saves as an ASE file - doesn't seem to be any other choices.  When I go to upload the swatch in AI it says cannot load because it is in the wrong format!!

What am I doing wrong?

Try loading the .ase file from the Swatch flyout menu. It is a library so you want to load the library as you would with something like a color book.
