Issues With Editing Anchors and Shapes in Illustrator

Hey all.

So I've run into a problem in Illustrator that I've never experienced before. All of a sudden, Ai is being extremely stubborn about letting me edit anchor points, bezier curves and move shapes around.

When I try to move a shape or an anchor point, Ai auto-moves it over instead of letting me decide where I want it moved. Same with trying to edit a curve using the handles off of anchor points. When I attempt to move the handle, Ai auto-fits the curve into a designated spot.

This is extremely detrimental to my work flow and I can't work like this...I create logos and I need to be able to manually adjust where curves and shapes go. Is there some setting where I can adjust this? I am a bit baffled that it all of a sudden just started happening. Thank you so much in advance. Cheers.

It sounds like Align to Pixel AND/OR Pixel Grid is turned on in either the Control panel or Properties panel. Just click the Align to Pixel icon and/or the Align to Pixel Grid icon to turn it off. The other possibility is Snap to Document Grid. Even if your Document Grid is not visible, you have to make sure Snap to Pixel Grid is not checked under the View menu.

With any of this option turned on, objects will be hatd to position correctly when creating or transforming. They will seem to jump to another position than you intend.

yeah, updates for Adobe are never helpful, they just cause more problems. I don't even need half the sh*t they have. Especially photoshop. I just want the damn eyedropper, but have to search for it forever. Then someone says you can make your own but that takes too long. I'm just going to revert to the oldest version. Same with photoshop. No one uses the stinking 3D crap in it anyway.

So I had some suspicions, and I decided to try making the shapes a lot larger in my .ai file. I did this and now I seem to have more flexibility. However, I would still like my modification options to be more malliable for smaller shapes. Does anyone else have this issue?
