Issues with stroke style

I'm having issues with my stroke and fill, image below. Anything with a curve has the style as per the edge of the circle, anything with a straight line is fine.

This is driving me mad, is it just a setting? I didn't have this issue when using CS5 a while ago. Please help .....

    Turn off the GPU acceleration in Preferences or from the Rocket icon in the control bar. Your graphic card is not up to snuff.
