I have been running Javascripts for many things in my daily work flow in illustrator for years now.
With the latest update of illustrator cc 2014 I am now getting errors on a regular basis.
Has anyone else been seeing this?
The only way I can stop this is with an illustrator restart.
This is a pain as there is so much that is not persistent on restart of illustrator.
such as the Colour reduction Options within the Recolour Artwork window. and of-course the actions I use to run my Javascripts lose the link and need to be reloaded.
all errors run along the lines of:
error 1200: an illustrator error occurred: 1346458189
then point out the line in the code causing the error.
some are when adding the contents of a text element to a variable.
some when accessing the visible bounds of an object.
some when trying to create a text frame.
to name a few.
Any ideas would be a great help...
Thanks.

Do you have the latest Java update?

I have the latest Java update on my machine.
I'm not sure this is relevant as Java and Javascript are different Languages.
or do you mean the latest javascript update?
I would have thought the Javascript runtime library would be part of the CC 2014 software.
All my CC software is fully up to date including the Extendscript Toolkit CC.
Am I missing something?

What OS are you using? There was a recent update to Java to support the new Mac 10.10.

Running Win7.
Java 7 Update 60 32 and 64 bit versions.
But I am still lost as to the relevance as Java is not the same language as Javascript.
"Java is to Javascript as car is to carpet" - I would love to know who wrote this originally...

9 am and already getting errors,
this script is very small, and I have been running it hundreds of times a day for years.
Latest update and I get a few hours out of illustrator before I need to restart.
Starting to get very frustrated...
