Jpeg File Duplication (Illustrator)

Saving a jpeg file in illustrator but it duplicates the jpeg files mulitple times.

How can I stop this? I only want the program to save one file. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the program but I am still having the same issue.

Can someone guide me accordingly

Trying to duplicate the problem and it will save only one time. Any more details ?

No please. It was not doing this before to my knowledge. I just tried it with another ai file. Exported as a jpeg to my desktop and it duplicated the saved file with -02. number code in the tag line.

Where do you see these duplicates? In Illustrator, outside of Illustrator?

on the desktop. I usually save my files there.

If I understand correctly, you place a jpeg file in Illustrator, save the illustrator file and see multiple versions of the jpeg file on your desktop? Named like?
