Kerning is broken in Illustrator 26.5!?!

After creating custom kerning at one type size, the scaled version's kerning randomly increases or decreases. I've marked some of the surprising increased and decreased kerning on the scaled type. Any idea what is going on here?

I have gone back and done some more testing. It seems to be a problem with that text box in particular. When I create a new text box, scaling works as expected. Not sure what happened to that text box.

That should not happen when scaling, but as you did not provide what is necessary for us to troubleshoot I suspect this is user error.  Does the value change of the kerning before and after scaling? For example I did a manual kern of -60, and it is the same on both scaled and original. If your value has parenthesis, that is the auto value (-40). You might want to select all your type and try optical kerning for all your type works very good and I rarely kern nowadays

Might also be an issue with your typeface, try another font and let us know

Thanks for your response. I updated Illustrator yesterday and now I am having this issue. It has never happened before.

The value of the kerning does change before and after scalling. The values are as you would expect but the visual effect is very different! It seems to be happening on multiple fonts. This image shows what it looks like with the values stated. I would normally use optical kerning - But obviously something is off, which is why I started kerninging manually.

What do you need to troubleshoot? I will try to provided it.
