Lag when copying and pasting from Illustrator to Photoshop

I work for a company where the majority of my daily tasks are copying vector elemens from Illustator and pasting them inot Photoshop for mockup purposes.

I am running Windows 11 and current 2023 versions of Photoshop and Illustrator.

The issue I am having is that there is a large lag between copying from illustrator and pasting into photoshop. The function works it just has a rather long lag time for a simple command.

The lag can last between 5 - 10 seconds. This happens regardless of the complexity of the vector element I am copying.

Any suggestions?

Can you please post your computer specifications?

Are other applications open at the same time?

Do you reboot the computer regularly?
