layers flatten and merge after sending a file ?

hi ive been sending ai files to a client and i organized the file in 9 layers as seen in the picture below

however when my client opens it its 1 layer and just a mess

how do i fix this ?

Hi,

It seems deferent documents.

Because Layer name indicates English in first one, But next screenshot indicates layer name in Chinese.

Either the document has gone corrupt when sending.

Or your client has a lower Illustrator version.

They opened the PDF part of the document.

This happens only in the situations described above.

It's crucial that you understand Illustrator files

Your client probably uses an older version of Illustrator.

Try to find out which version and save your file (as a copy) in that older file format.

You may lose some editability.
