Layers + Properties Disappeared

Question

Illustator crashed and when it opened back up and recovered my file the layers and properties were gone, the layers and properties panels are still there just empty. I restarted my computer once and the program twice, and no matter if it's a new or old project I have no properties or layers. I don't know what to do to fix this, please help.

I'm sorry to hear this is hapening! Have you tried resetting preferences? You may have a settings/preference file that has become corrupted.

This can help flush out issues. In the article there is a directory path for accessing your settings files for mac and pc.
