Lenovo Digital Pen 2 brush tool not working with illustrator

Everytime I restart my computer, the stylus begins to work as a brush, and then suddenly stops working. It often displays a small loading circle near the brush when this happens, and I cannot seem to figure out the problem here. Below is a video attached showing the problem.

The problem looks like yet another example of Windows Ink doing its horrible wonders. Do the settings for the pen have an option to enable or disable Windows Ink? If so, I'd recommend disabling the feature if it is enabled.

I have a Wacom Intuos graphics tablet connected to my home computer setup. I have to leave Windows Ink disabled in the tablet driver because Windows Ink hijacks a lot of very basic things. One of the most essential actions is pressing and holding the pen tip to drag things. It could be to move a color slider in a CMYK palette or just move a web browser window to another part of the screen. The pen won't do that if Windows Ink is enabled. That irritating animated circle thing will often appear. Fiddling around with Windows' Pen and Ink settings and even hacking the registry doesn't do any good. I'm always stuck having to disable Windows Ink in the tablet driver. But that comes at the cost of losing pressure sensitivity in the pen. If I want the pen to have pressure sensivity without me losing my mind I have no choice but to whip out the iPad Pro and Apple Pencil and then get the task done using that. Then I beam the work back to my computer with the hobbled Wacom tablet.

Windows Ink just sucks.
