letter format

Hello colleagues, could you explain to me why the letter format does not measure the same in illustrator as in photoshop?

I think you need to ask that in the Photoshop forum. Photoshop uses 8 x 11 inch, while Illustrator uses the standard 8,5 x 11 inch. I live in Europe where we use the standard metric units, but Google showed me that Illustrator is right.`

What difference are you seeing? Both are 8.5 x 11 in Illustrator and Photshop for US sizes as they should be.
