Hi, I am experimenting with line graph on illustrator.

re: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYKQTAqQTp0

My question is when the graph is reflected on the horizontal axis the data values will also flip which will invalidate the original data.

First one is the original graph and second one is reflected to design it as per the video instructions and third is the output, my question isn't the output incorrect in terms of data representation?

Whether the graph makes sense inverted depends on the data. His does because it represents football league positions. I don't know what your data is, so it may not. He also dispenses with the scale on the left; you may or may not have that luxury.

right, so inverting and styling depends on data, for which I think the values for him also invert? but i rather add gradient to the original graph not a pro in data viz

There's no need to invert your graph if you don't want to. He only does that because Illustrator plots 0/1 at the bottom, and he wants it at the top. You can skip the whole inverting bit and just add a gradient to your graph as it is.
