Line thickness differ from Illustrator to PDF

Hi. I am saving a project in Adobe Illustrator to PDF. However, when I opened the pdf, the lines were considerably thicker than the intended design created in Illustrator.

This is the Adobe Illustrator file at 100% zoom:

This is the PDF at 100%:

Are the settings to correct this in the PDF export?

Thank you

Are you viewing the PDF in Acrobat?

If so, in Preferences > Page Display, is Enhance Thin Lines checked?

I, personally find this to be an unacceptable "solution". For those of us who made pdfs with Illustrator and have inconsistent text weights and unwanted thickened lines in our exported pdfs due to the "enhance lines" feature.... What are we suppossed to do, tell our clients, users, and customers to disable it in their viewer? No... because that's completely unrealistic. The feature should be document specific and be decided by the creator, not the viewer. Some of us aren't making spreadsheets (which is why you created the feature). This is just another case of Adobe doing whatever they want rather than listening to the users. There are over 10 years of requests to change this and you still haven't given us an option in Illustrator export or Acrobat when saving the doc as a pdf. Adobe +1 again for yet another senseless roadblock.

This is a public forum. 95% of users aren't even staff.

If you want to get this to the eyes of the developers, use https://illustrator.uservoice.com

And better yet: get this to the Acrobat developers, because it's an Acrobat setting.

And then also: don't outline text.
