Linie thickness (only ONE line should be visible on export as pdf)

Hi.

When drawing a rectangular or circle and exporting is as pdf... then there are 3 lines showing up in my cnc machine software.
(the middle line and two other lines which indicate the line thickness)

Question:
What's the best way to have all objects shown as a SINGLE line with no line thickness?

What I tested so far:
I changed the line thickness to "0" but then I can't see the objects anymore.

Thanks!

    select the big circle

menu: selection --> select the same --> fill and stroke (it's possible, because of the strokes are inside)

    stroke: none

    or select all

    and: flatten transparency (high resolution)

    pathfinder: unit

but there are many other objects in this file which also have an appereance that should be expanded or flattened

In addition to "rickwtexas" thread, try the following:

    Object>Path>Outline Stroke

Hmm. When I create a rectangle (like rickwtexas and mjbelt said) it works.

But I can't change the file a customer sent to me. OBJECT > EXPAND... "the EXPAND" is grayed out.
There are other objects in this file which are ok.. only a single line when exporting it as a pdf.

The original file is linked below.

(Somehow I can't select the frame and the holes which are not filled seperately. They're grouped or so. But "ungroup" is also grayed out)

I think at the end your file should looks like this.

    Yeah!

I needed like 20 minutes to fix things in corel draw (as iam new in Illustrator iam faster in corel).

What's the best way to deal with fonts? My Illustrator want's to replace fonts (because the fonts the customer used are not installed on my computer) Do you search for the right fonts yourselfs?
Every time I get files like these there are missing fonts because people don't convert the fonts to outlines. :-(

    Sorry for my bad english.

    What  you need

strict restrictions for files of your customers:

no fonts in files - only paths

    only converted appereance

    only closed paths/shapes

    no overlapping paths

only filled paths without any strokes

Otherwise you have to convert the file for your requirements by yourself - but the problem is that is your own risk!

    Like I wrote before:

In some cases you can place the *.ai file in another file (with same dimensions) and embed. The fonts are automatically will convert to paths. But mostly this causes other problems. It's better to identify the text frames and go other/different ways.

That is much too long for this file!

    (whether Corel Draw or Illustrator)

Do I get the permission to publish a video with your file?

Can't quite picture what you mean, but.. my experience with CNC/axis is that they prefer shapes versus lines with options. So... try this - create a rectangle with line weight, then go to OBJECT>EXPAND. No you have a shape to your specs.

    Marc,

How about using a fill and no stroke (set Fill to a solid colour and Stroke to None in the Toolbox (bottom))?
