Link Info not showing most of the info.

When I click on a linked (not placed) jpg, Illustrator (CS6) isn't showing me the Size, Kind, Created etc. information, can anyone tell me why please?

Also, I'd like to know how much the original jpg has been scaled down in Illustrator, as it does in InDesign - it shows you the percentage of the original image you are viewing, is there any way to do this in Illustrator CS6 please?

Can you share the .jpg image. Can't remember as ran across this s few years ago, but was something about either a CMYK jpg or one with a clipping path.

Thanks for your reply, I have just tried this jpg, which has no clipping path and is RGB bit it's still not showing the info, any other ideas?

I linked to the image into both CC2015 and CS6, and was able to retain the information.

Do you have the ESKO plug ins or toner plug ins?

is the image on a server?

What happens if you make a local copy and link to that?
