Linked Files are Yellow & Blue when Reopening File

Hello, 

 

Looking for some insight on this issue. When I open some of my working files, my links (which are pngs) are showing up yellow and blue. My fix has been to relink them which does fix the problem, until I save the file and reopen it; then the files will do it again. See pictures below: 

 

 

Has anyone else had this issue before?

    Use .psd format for placing images. There is an issue with new Illustrator and placed  .pngs. Is kind of good this happened as many people were using .png for print, so this helps correct that.

      There is nothing wrong with png images for print. They use lossles compression, which makes them better than jpegs.

      As long as there is an RGB profile attached (which is unfortunately not always the case) Color Management will do its thing.
