Live Paint Bucket- strokes get changed

Hi all!

I am new to illustrator and this is my first post here. I hope it's a desent question and not to obvious..

I have made my first scetch (outlines only) with my wacom. Now it's time to colour. I want to use the Live Paint Bucket, and I understand I need to make a live paint bucket group to be able to? And I get that choise automaticaly when hover over the scetch. But as soon as click, it seems like the Strokes for all my lines changes, first of all - to the same size for all lines, and also to a much smaller size. This makes my drawing fall out of structue. I get a lot of "gaps" and the lines doesn't fit together anylonger. Does anyone knows why and how I can solve this/prevent this to happening??

here is a link of a short video that shows what I mean:

Thanks!

Are there perhaps brushes applied to your strokes?

Unfortunately, Illustrator still does not properly support brush strokes when converting them into a Live Paint group. They get removed.

Usually, there is a warning message that informs you about that, but the alert has a "Don't show again" option, so it may never appear again once you enabled this option.

There are (sometimes) some workarounds. Can you share the Illustrator file you used in your video?

Hi and thanks. Yes of course I can but it seems like I am not able to share from the cloud without invite? Can I get an address and I can invite and share with you?
