live paint bucket

i want to paint a picture created in dxf form . some time this erroe mgs is pop on the screen. what it is and how to deal with this

Then there must be something else. Check the selected items in the Layers panel for items not compatible with Live Paint.

You can try to see if Clipping Paths are giving the warning.

Check: Object > Clipping Mask > Release
