LogiOptions Not Allowing me to Map my Mx Master 2s

Community Beginner ,

Hey all!

I can map my MX master 2s to any software (which is amazing) through the Logi Options app. However, I cannot map it for Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere, or After Effects, which are all apps I use a ton.

Also, I'm on a mac, so that X Mouse won't work for mapping this.

How did you guys fix this?

Thank you for sharing the details. I would suggest you perform these steps shared on this help article (https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023203954) and then try mapping keys in Illustrator. Also, you may install an older version of Illustrator and check if you are able to do the mapping. If this doesn't help, you may try to contact Logitech customer support and let us know how it goes.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear about the trouble. Could you please share a few more details like:

  • OS, version of Illustrator & other Adobe apps, version of Logi Option app, and Firmware version of MX Master 2s installed
  • When did this start happening? Are there any recent changes made to your system? For example, any antivirus, system updates, plugins, or web extensions installed recently.
  • Was the mapping working earlier for Illustrator and other Adobe apps? If yes, do you recall the version of Logi Options and version of Illustrator & other Adobe apps?
  • Which combo of action & mapping with the mouse did you try in Illustrator?

We are here to help. We just need more information.

Thanks & Regards,

Anshul Saini

Hi!

1. I have the most recent of all Adobe products (not betas).

    Mouse firmware: 12.01.0006

    Logitech options firmware: 8.54.147

2. This has been happening ever since I purchased this mouse used in August of this year.

3. I have no idea if mapping ever worked for these apps, but it works for Acrobat.

4. I tried making it so that the side ways scroll wheel would be a zoom while the arrow keys be directional. However, the app wouldn't even let me select illustrator as the app I wanted to change.

Thank you so much! It was the permissions (I don't know whether it was accessibility or navigation, but it was one of the two. I really do appreciate it!
