Logo with gradient

I created what I thought was a simply text logo in Illustrator - it has gradient and a stroke but when I zoom in it pixelates or displays improperly around the edges.

I tried it without the stroke and it shows white splotches when zoomed it.

The only way it worked with no errors was without gradient and stroke.

What am I missing or is it not possible to do a text logo with graident and stroke?

The logo has a 3D Extrude and Bevel (Classic) effect applied to it which appears to be causing the problem as it results in gradients being rasterized. If you turn that off in the Appearances panel the problem disappears.

I'm not able to replicate this issue. It could be an issue with your GPU.

Thanks, I turned that on and resaved and it still pixelates. My process is create in AI, create outlines, group, save as ai, save as pdf, save as jpg, etc. I then open up the ai file in Apple's Preview app and zoom in....??

Attached is what it looks like...
