Hello I am looking for a plug in or a software recommendation that will let me get a good idea of what my vector design will look like as a finished embroidered product. Thanks.

You want to simulate an embroidered look?

There are two issues with that:

- preparation of embroidery files is a craft that cannot be done automatically, so a software theoretically can only simulate the look of it after the stitches have been prepared.

- even when you use Photoshop to do it (there are a couple of tutorials on it) it requires several steps that cannot be run automatically and then it won't look like a real peace, because in order to simulate it you would have to have the knowledge

Did you try doing a forum search? There are a couple that have references to third party sites that offer digitizing.

I'm not seeing the forum. I may not be using correct search terms too. Specifically I'm looking for references from people that have used software after designing with AI, and then created their design into actual embroidery. If that makes sense.

In every major city there should be a shop that offers embroidery. Just visit them and talk to them.
