MacBook Air 2018 256ssd 8gb ram Illustrator performance
Hi to all,
I need help and I have only 3 days for make a decision.
I'm upgrading from my MacBook Air mid 2012 with 4gb ram and 128SSD, to a new MacBook Air 2018, 8gb ram and 256SSD, and I had no doubt about this decision, because an upgrading of 7 years in technology, it's a big jump. Or not?
I'm very surprised when I opened my first file in Illustrator and I have seen that the zoom and scrolling it's slower and more lagging than in my old macbook of 2012!?!?!?!?!?!?! How can it's possible?!?!?!?!? I've restored the new Mac from zero and reinstalled the adobe app, but it seems to be the same thing. The GPU Performance it's enable and the only doubt that I have its that in the old Mac after the name of the card, there is also "OpenGL Engine", and in the new its reported only the name of the "Intel UHD graphic 617", but I don't know if that it's only simply name field.
It's really possible that a model of 2018 with twice of ram has problem to make an app spin the performance at least like a 2012 model? Seriously!?!?!?!
Please, if anyone can help me as soon as soon as, because I'm very tempted to return it to the store.
Thanks to all.
