Magic Mouse won't drag, gives error sound.

Using Illustrator (26.4.1) on a Mac running Big Sur 11.6.8 i am not able to drag/move items about 50% of the time using a Apple Magic Mouse. Things work fine with an external Apple Track Pad, or the built-in Track Pad. This issue started occuring durng the latest upgrade to 26.4.1.

Have seen this occured to others in the past. Are there any current solutions?

It is so frustrating and a productivity/groove killer.

Also, you can try installing the previous Illustrator version: https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/using/install-previous-version.html
