Measuring curves in Illustrator

I'm trying to create clothes patterns in Illustrator, and I remember years back someone told me that there is a measuring tool one could add to Illustrator to easily measure curves/not straight lines.
Anyone who knows anything about such a measuring tool?

You can measure curves with this plug-in.

BPT-Pro4 - CAD plugin for Illustrator | Baby Universe

They also have plug-ins for creating clothes patterns in Illustrator.

iPM - Pattern Drafting Software for Illustrator | Baby Universe

Ann Christin,

I believe someone told you about the PathLength, and/or PathArea which tells you about bot length and area, both parts of a free bundle avaiable here,

Telegraphics - Free plugins for Photoshop & Illustrator...and other software

But you may prefer the Baby Universe plugin(s) suggested by mys.

If anyone is here in 2020 - yes this works.  I'm drafting patterns in Illustrator and needed to measure armholes on 11 different sizes for 3 different armholes - 33 measurements - it worked perfectly!!  Just to let you know I traced just the armhole on the back bodice on a separate layer above the locked bodice layer and put the measurement in the layer name.  I am able to use that armhole on other patterns as well by cutting and pasting the arm opening only.  I needed to correct all of my sleeve patterns - and didn't want to print out my patterns and measure them by hand.  Thank you, thank you, thank you....!
