Merging Multi Line Brush Stroke together

Thank you for your suggestions, I will give them a try. I did get past the hurdle by creating a brush stroke that has all 5 colors at one end that merge into a single point at the other. It doesn't always work the way I want it to, especially on lines that have curves and multiple anchor points, but sometimes I get exactly what I want. Thanks again for your suggestions.

Seems like you could draw the two outermost lines and use them Blend tool to add the intermediate lines. Then Object > Expand and color the lines as you wish.

You could always use the 'Width Tool' (Shift+W) to pinch it at the end you want...?

There is no specific function to do this. Either do it by hand or start over by e.g. creating a custom brush stroke  with those five colored dots in it which then can be applied to a path and massaged with the variable width tool. there are alternate techniques like using blends, object wraps and what not. It's just not going to work as you have intended and some manual labour will always be required.
