Microsoft surface illustrator won't rotate

When I use illustrator in tablet mode it does not rotate is there a solution? It's annoying to use the tools whilst in tablet mode.

Does anyone know why Adobe chose to remove this feature? I have a version of Illustrator CS4 that is compatible with portrait and landscape mode, and as long as the Illustrator CC window is not selected it will appear to be the right orientation. Not sure why this functionality was removed between CS4 and CC.

    I have the same issue, and it's frustrating that this still doesn't seem to have a solution.
