Hi there,

Thanks for reaching out. As per Mimaki, Finecut 9 is not compatible with the Adobe Illustrator 2021. If you wish to use the plugin, please install the Adobe Illustrator 2020.

For more information, please contact Mimaki as suggested by Monika & Test Screen Name. Hope it helps.

You can't download 2020 version, Adobe automatically upgrades you to 2021 version

Do you have an active subscription? Old versions are not available in trial mode. And you MUST MUST MUST turn off automatic updates if you rely on plug-ins that need old versions!!!

I'm happy you got it working, but I tried yesterday and it didn't work. was there anything, in particular, you did as you were installing?

You can't make a "clean install" because Finecut Installation exe didn't notice the new Illustrator Version (I think it's only a missing flag and not an incompatibility) . You have to take the plug-in from the Old Illustrator Version (where it still has had running) and copy / paste it in the new Illustrator Plug-in folder.

It's probably not compatible. You should contact Mimaki about that.

It's been fixed, don't know by who, I suspect Adobe.

Adobe can't fix plugins. You must contact the maker.

They can fix Illustrator, the plugin worked with the previous version, NOW
it works with current version. We didn't reinstall or change anything.
