Minimized workspace when switching to another Application.

New Here ,
Mar 18, 2019 Mar 18, 2019

Hi community,

i found the following under Illustrator workspace basics :

"Panels don’t disappear when you switch applications or when you accidentally click out of the application."

Anyone has an idea what to do, that the panels DISAPPEAR when i switch to another app? Yes, of course, i could hit the "TAB" Key before tabbing to another application... but this kind of awkard.

Using Windows 10.

Greetings!

Hi there,

We are sorry about this issue. This is definitely not a normal behavior. Have you tried resetting preferences for Illustrator? If not, please try the steps shared here: How to set preferences in Illustrator and let us know if that helps or if you need any further help.

Resetting preferences will remove all the custom settings and Illustrator will launch with default settings. You can also take a backup of the folders in case you want to. Location is mentioned in the article.

Regards,

Srishti
