Question

Missing font

Hi all,

All my apps are the latest versions.

When i use Photoshop, (in this instance im editing a text style) all missing font/s are still visible (Picture 1 attached), unless i manually edit the text, which then alerts me that there is a missing font/s in the selected layer (Picture 2 attached).

However, i noticed that this doesnt happen in Illustrator. Rather it automatically changes the font OR highlights it pink when i open the file.

My question - Is there anyway to enable for illustrator to behave the same way as Photoshop? Please dont ask why, i just want it to do that 🙂

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Hello @Nameless_01,

Thanks for reaching out. Would you mind sharing more details, like the exact version of the OS/Illustrator, a public link to a sample file after uploading it to Dropbox/Google Drive/etc., and a screen recording of your workflow in Photoshop and Illustrator (https://adobe.ly/4e2ZdIm), so we can better assist you?

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Anubhav
