Mouse scaling problem in Illustrator

Hi,

When scaling objects freehand, Illiustrator acts like I release the mouse button, even if I'm not.  Added a video where I force this behavior to happen. It's really frustrating. I've tried both with a wireless and a corded mouse.

Has anyone else enocuntered this problem?

Illustrator version 23.0.3

macOS Mojave 10.14.4

iMac Pro 2017

The weekend is near. So in case you want to repair that urgently, contact customer care now and have them take a look inside your system.

Was in contact with Adobe support earlier today. We tried changing preferences, disabling the GPU acceleration, etc, but nothing worked. After a remote desktop controlled session they finally tried deleting the illustrator preferences folder and relaunching the application. That did it. Now it works like a charm!

    Hi,

Looking at your video it seems that it is a refresh issue.

Can you try to click on the corner you want to scale, without moving hold it for a second or two and then scale you rectangle.

You can create screen grabs using GIPHY | Search All the GIFs & Make Your Own Animated GIF

It might be easier than holding your phone while trying to interact with the software.

Sure! Usually use Giphy, but was in a hurry.

Here's  a closeup of the problem. Tried to click and hold on the corner for a sec before scaling.

Is that a new issue? Did you upgrade anything recently? It looks like the video memory can't cope with effort.

What video preferences have you set?
