Mousing over doesn't show outline.

This has happened twice now and it's driving me crazy!

In the past, when I moused over an object, say a box, a thin red outline would appear. Now it doesn't and I don't know why.
It didn't do this before and I can't find anything in the settings about it.

The red outline is probably the layer color. The default layer color is blue. You will see the color in the Layers panel, represented as a thin vertical bar on the left.

To change the color to red, go to the Layers menu and choose the options for that layer.
