Move CC library swatches to local swatches, or select them from color picker

My original problem was that I wanted to use Live Paint with colors that existed in CC library swatches. But the only way to change the Live Paint color is with the color picker (it ignores attempts to click on CC library swatches), and I can't see any way to select CC library swatches from within the color picker.

Of course, if I could move all the CC library swatches over to local swatches, then I could use them from the color picker.

What's the  best solution?

And as an aside, it is just me, or is the "integration" (or lack thereof) of CC libraries with local resources very confusing?

    Let me start by saying, yes integration with CC Libraries can be very confusing. You are not alone in feeling this way.

    The best solution is to add the CC Library swatches to your document swatches. I would remove all unused swatches from the document first just to clean things up. Then right click, or control click on the CC Library color theme to add it to the document swatches. This will create a new group of swatches which is what you want for live paint. With the color swatches in a group you can toggle through the colors while painting with the right and left arrow keys.

    I nee help. I've yet to see a reliable use for the colour swatches. Sometimes they're there ready to use.. other times

    Global colors, Spot colors, gradients, brushes and pattern swatches are not very well supported in CC libraries.

    But as a workaround you can drag an object using a brush/pattern/gradient/global color to the CC Library 

    You can also drag multiple items using different brushes/patterns/gradients/global/spot colors together into a CC library to simulate a library. Text objects must be grouped before adding them as graphics.

    The easiest way to add them to a new document is to hold down the Alt key when you drag them from the library and place them in a new document. The patterns/gradients/global colors automatically get added to your swatches panel.

    You can hit escape before you click to place the object(s) or delete the dragged library items because the swatches and brushes are now part of the document.

      Just how does one "add the CC Library Swatches to your document swatches" in InDesign?  It is not at all obvious.

      Do a right click (PC) or control click (Mac) on the color or color theme in the CC Library. This brings up a contextual menu with the option to add swatches to the document.

      This is the correct method, however I was trying to add swatches to an InDesign document just last night with this method and nothing happened. So, after all these months later CC Libraries and Color is still pretty buggy, especially when working in InDesign. For me it works better in Illustrator.
