My hand tool stuck in Indesign and illustrator.

My hand tools get stuck when starting Indesign and illustrator. When I try to change them it doesn't work. I can't continue working like this. Does anyone know how to solve this. My system and programs are up to date

but maybe just resetting your preferences will fix each:

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post if it helps you get responses.

Hello @RimRisse,

Sorry to hear about this experience. Would you mind rebooting your computer in Safe Mode (Windows / macOS) and relaunching Illustrator to check if it helps?

If it works, it could be possible that a third-party program is interfering with Illustrator/InDesign, and you might need to disable/remove it.
