Hi, I'm trying to create a gradient with some swatches that I have created. I first create the colours by putting them into the swatch, then when I want to add it to the gradient it turns white and idk how to fix it. The first two photos shows that when I drag a swatch (the default swatches when you open the swatch tab) to the gradient it works, but then when I drag my swatch that I created from eyedrop it does not work. How do I make it add the colour that I want?
Thanks for the help

You can add a color to the swatches by clicking the + in the swatches panel or using the Swatches panel menu. Dragging objects creates patterns.

You can filter swatches and see which ones are patterns by clicking the middle icon at the bottom of your swatches panel.

Are you sure your swatch is a color swatch and not a pattern swatch?

I'm not sure, all I did was eyedrop the colour to a square and dragged the square into swatches. Maybe it has to do with the eyedrop when I create a new swatch from a colour I want to use from one of my old projects it works, but when I want to take a colour from a picture that I got on the internet it comes up white.

When dragging the aquare into the swatches you create a pattern swatch.
