Myriad Pro showing as condensed opening existing file

Weird bug but I have a client document, I open it and all the Myriad Pro Regular text is displayed as Condensed. If I select it and change to a different weight or style then back to regular, that fixes it.

Exporting as pdf also shows as condensed. I've tried resetting Illustrator prefs but no difference.

There is not any Myriad Pro used in your examples. SF Pro is used.


ah wait! I spoke too soon. I just checked with the original designer and the font was sf pro. you were correct!

which make this even weirder, why is it saying it's myriad pro, not showing it in myriad pro or sf pro, not prompting for a missing font, and when set to sf pro (which is available) does it work fine?
