Myriad Pro showing as condensed opening existing file

Weird bug but I have a client document, I open it and all the Myriad Pro Regular text is displayed as Condensed. If I select it and change to a different weight or style then back to regular, that fixes it.

Exporting as pdf also shows as condensed. I've tried resetting Illustrator prefs but no difference.

hi yeah there were two fonts, satoshi for the headline which works as expected and myriad pro, what should be the adobe, default ai font that is borked

same file again with the satoshi headlines removed

There is not any Myriad Pro used in your examples. SF Pro is used.

ah wait! I spoke too soon. I just checked with the original designer and the font was sf pro. you were correct!

which make this even weirder, why is it saying it's myriad pro, not showing it in myriad pro or sf pro, not prompting for a missing font, and when set to sf pro (which is available) does it work fine?

I see SF pro missing, but no Myriad Pro. Maybe SF pro is the problem?

I had the same experience as Ton, and it shows the missing font as SF Pro, not Myriad. Could you confirm if reinstalling the font helped resolve the problem?

Yeah it does seem to be SF Pro, that has defaulted to Myriad. OK on a brand-new mac I installed SF Pro from Apple and opened the doc fresh. I don't get prompted for missing fonts, and it displays as that weird condensed font, and Myriad in the text panel, even though SF Pro is available
