Native Ai File Appears Pixelated

This is a first for me....

I am designing a sinple postcard in illustrator, and suddenly in the middle of working on it, all my images and text have become pixelated. It does not appear blurry when I export to .pdf. I have gone in and out of the file, restarted, and tried again another day. The images and text are still blurry. See below:

In InDesign, I am used to this and typically will change my settings to high quality display when I can. But in Illustrator, there is no Display Performance setting that I am aware of. What's going on here?

Is View > Pixel Preview on?
