This is my first time using illustrator and Photoshop, I am using it to make a logo/banner for a in-game shop, I have created a psychodelic background from using illustrator and photoshop, before uploading the work back to illustrator, then I added in fonts, however, when I merge the fonts and picture together, the font gets distorted and not clearly visible, I want the font to be clearly visible yet having the background at the same time, here was my result, any ideas on how I may able to fix this???Keffi1.PNGKeffi2.PNGKeffi3.PNG

Picture 1: Font only

Picture 2: Background only

Picture 3 :Background and font, with font being distorted with low visibility 😞

Rocherian,

"however, when I merge the fonts and picture together, the font gets distorted and not clearly visible,"

You really must try to restrain yourself and abstain from merging, just keep things separate with text on top, then export/save for web.

Hello Jacob,

Yes, I wasn't trying to merge them together, I wanted the texts as simply black font instead of rainbow, any chance you would be able to direct me to how i can do that? I need instructions, thank you very much

You seem to have appliedsome kind of blend mode and all you need to do is set it to"Normal" blend mode. Use the transparency panel.
