Need letterhead help!

I have designed a letterhead in AI and I need to export it to Word. I have locked the design and saved the AI file as a PDF and exported the PDF as a Word doc but when the Word doc opens up, the design layout is wrong , the text is converted to a different font, and the design can be moved around.

What am I doing wrong? What do I do to lock the design so that it doesn't change? Please help!

No. Save As > PDF, then use Word > Insert Picture (art). Or, Export your ai file as an RGB .tiff and then Word > Insert Art / Picture.

Create it in Word. If you don't know Word, you will need to learn it. Word has some functions that your client will definitely want to use.

The logo needs to be exported and then placed in the Word document. The format you export depends upon the intended use.
