New Document prompt menu

I work with illustrator and photoshop every day at work. I create about 60-70 new documents every day. I use the NEW DOCUMENT PROMPT MENU alot. I also use TAB alot.

When promptet with the new doc menu I have to set WIDTH and HEIGHT every time, because the documents I create are not the typical ones - of course.

I use TAB... the tab function marks the placeholder number and then I should be able to overwrite this number, right? Wrong. The cursor places it self AFTER the placeholder number. Which results in: placeholdernumber PLUSS my typed number.

Why? Is there a fix on this?

It might seem like a small problem, but when you create 50-60 new docs every day, it takes time. Unneccessary time. Wasted time.

Please fix it.

Which version are you using?

I cannot reproduce this problem, using the Tab key the numeric field is highlighted.

Maybe you can use Template document as well?

Just make first document and save it as template and then create new document just from template

You can also save your document in Illustrator presets folder and this way your target document format will be easy accesible from format menu

I know. But the thing is: I don't use templates, because there are so few dublicates. I think I have 3-4 dublicates during a day. 😕
